Our Cookie Policy

By accessing and using the Tessellate Design Studio website, you are agreeing to the terms of this cookie policy. This policy describes the cookies we use and what we are doing with your information.

The information stored in the cookies we use helps us to analyse how visitors interact with the website. This information is then used to improve the website and ultimately provide you with a better user experience.

Unless you have adjusted your web browser settings to refuse cookies, our website will issue cookies as soon you visit our website. If you have switched off cookies then some of the functionality on the website may not be available or work fully.

We may update this cookie policy from time to time and will post any changes here. This policy was last updated on 4th February 2013.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to help the website analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website and your current IP-address will be transmitted by your browser to and will be stored by Google on servers in the United States and other countries. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address collected through Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

_utma
This cookie is used to determine unique visitors to the website and it is updated with each page view. Additionally, this cookie is provided with a unique ID that Google Analytics uses to ensure both the validity and accessibility of the cookie as an extra security measure.

_utmz
This cookie stores the type of referral used by the visitor to reach the website, whether via a direct method, a referring link, a website search, or a campaign such as an ad or an email link. It is used to calculate search engine traffic, ad campaigns and page navigation within your own site. The cookie is updated with each page view to the website.

_utmb
This cookie is used to establish and continue a user session with the website. When a user views a page on the website, the Google Analytics code attempts to update this cookie. If it does not find the cookie, a new one is written and a new session is established. Each time a user visits a different page on the website, this cookie is updated to expire in 30 minutes, thus continuing a single session for as long as user activity continues within 30-minute intervals. This cookie expires when a user pauses on a page on the website for longer than 30 minutes.

_utmv
The _utmv cookie passes the information provided as a part of a custom user segment in the User-Defined report within Google Analytics, allowing us to perform analysis on visitors defined within a specific segment or value. This string is then passed to the Analytics servers in the GIF request URL via the utmcc parameter.

_utmc
This cookie is no longer used by the Google Analytics tracking code to determine session status.

You can reject or delete these cookies by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available here
